Job Description:

Quality Engineer, Los Angeles, CA

Investigates non-conformances on incoming material (chemicals and/or packaging). This includes reviewing the specification and test results, contacting the supplier to understand their process and controls, summarizing the investigation in the document, and recommending material disposition and corrective actions. This may also include recommending revision of specifications, following up with business partners for technical assistance, and tracking closure timing within a 30 day time frame.

Track and trend nonconformance metrics for reporting to business partners. Requires use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint 2007 as well as SAP and web-based software systems.

Bachelors of Science Degree preferably in Chemistry or engineering with three (3) years experience, preferably in supplier quality.
